Dear Celia,
This letter should have come much sooner, but I have found it very difficult to put into words. How do you thank someone that has gone above and beyond what the normal person would have done?
I remember when we adopted our 5 day old son twenty seven years ago. The thought that the social worker would just put a tiny, little boy into our arms, give us a hug and send us on our way back to Park City still brings tears to my eyes.
What you did for us ranks right up there with that. All of the work you did to make sure we were able to receive disability payments. You were able to get the company's name changed when that had never been done after so many years. You were aware there was an open period so we could upgrade our policy. You made special changes so we could receive the benefits without paying taxes. You were always so patient every time we called you. All the time you spent on the phone with the insurance company.
Do you realize because of your work we will be receiving almost $300,000.00 tax free by the time my Husband is 65 years old. I can't begin to tell you the relief that is for him. He worked so hard for so many years, it's nice to know that with all he is dealing with we won't have to deal with financial issues.
So, the above words and gift certificate are our feeble attempt at saying thank you, thank you, thank you so very much. We count our blessings, you being one of them.
So Sincerely,
"D.S."
